This Y-SNP has tested positive for only three submissions: Farris (1), McLellan (1) and O'Neill (1).
There are many good testing candidates for this Y-SNP testing that were found:
1) With the Y-Search query, four submissions that have not been tested that were higher than 70 % of the DNA fingerprint. All submissions above 70 % have tested positive to date (only two submissions). The following submissions would be very good testing candidates: Davidson (FSSGU), Haverty (22RAP) and MacNeil (GYB7H and Z5XAJ).
2) Since the scope of this Y-SNP has not been tested to date, there are seven submissions that have a 64 % match of the DNA fingerprint. One of these submissions has tested positive and none have tested negative: Townsend (G3MJN), Angus (SDZ95), Davis (13026 / 8J7SB), McDonald (G33D3), McDowell (QF7W2) and Sutherland (RHDV7).
3) There are 27 submissions that match at 55 % of the DNA fingerprint (6 of 11 match). Since none have tested negative in this range and one has tested positive at a 7 of 11 match. these submissions are reasonable testing candidates. See the DNA Results spreadsheet for these candidates.
The DNA results spreadsheet includes four very good testing candidates (greater than 70 % of the DNA fingerprint) and seven good testing candidates. The higher on the spreadsheet, the more likely of testing positive for this Y-SNP. Since the scope of this Y-SNP has not tested negative for any submissions higher than 50 % of the DNA fingerprint, any tests over 50 % would be very reasonable testing candidates until the scope of this Y-SNP is determined.
