ABNER ARRINGTON STEVENSON (71.4.4.4) is the son of Elam Stevenson and Lydia Catherine (Payne) Stevenson.  Abner was born on March 16, 1816 in Giles County, Tennessee.  Abner Stevenson was a minister.  On December 8, 1838, Abner Stevenson married Martha S. Watson.  Martha was born on February 19, 1823 in Tennessee and is the daughter of Mary Watson.  Abner and Martha Stevenson were the parents of fifteen children:

From 1850 to 1880, Abner and Martha Stevenson were living in Giles County, Tennessee.  Martha (Watson) Stevenson died on July 12, 1887 in Giles County, Tennessee and Abner Stevenson died on July 30, 1896 in Giles County, Tennessee.  Both were buried there in the Bee Springs Cemetery.  Lucinda Stevenson married Perry Williams and they had six children:  -  Pitman Williams,  -  Virgil Williams,  -  Curbis Williams,  -  Sidney Williams,  -  Alma Williams,  -  Bell Williams.  Lucinda (Stevenson) Williams died in 1920.  On December 20, 1870, Eliza Stevenson married John T. Andrews and they had four sons:  -  Baxter Andrews,  -  Abner Andrews,  -  Truman Andrews,  -  Perry Andrews.  Eliza (Stevenson) Andrews died on November 16, 1878.  Frances Stevenson married J. M. Whitaker.  Frances (Stevenson) Whitaker died on April 18, 1889.

Summerfield Stevenson married Matilda Smith and they had seven children:  -  Enoch Stevenson,  -  Lindsey Stevenson,  -  Arington Stevenson,  -  Mack Stevenson,  -  son (name unknown),  -  Pearl Stevenson,  -  Vesta Stevenson.  Summerfield Stevenson was buried near Crowleys Ridge, Arkansas.  Julia Stevenson married John Andrews and they had four children:  -  Ray Andrews,  -  George Andrews,  -  Tinnie Andrews,  -  Alice Andrews.  Julia moved to Texas.  Edward Stevenson moved to Texas where he worked for the Texas and Pacific Railway.  Edward Stevenson died of smallpox in El Paso, Texas on June 26, 1886.  George Stevenson was the father of thirteen children.  George was a judge and lived in Lubbock, Texas.  Manerva Stevenson married Andrew R. Merrill and they had at least two children:  -  Nathan Merrill,  -  Lora Merrill.  Manerva moved to Ardmore, Tennessee.

L. Britton died in 1973 and Carrie Britton died in 1973.  Both were buried in the Memory Garden Cemetery in Giles County, Tennessee.  Carmen Britton married a Mr. Montgomery.  Carlos Britton married Nora McNeese (born May 15, 1901).  Carlos Britton died on February 22, 1962.
