CURTIS FIELDING LACKEY (71.3.4.3.5) is the son of Alexander Lackey and Susan (Kirby) Lackey.  Curtis was born on March 28, 1849 in North Carolina.  On August 20, 1874, Curtis Lackey married Sarah Jane Clary.  Sarah was born on April 6, 1847 in North Carolina and is the daughter of Nancy M. Clary.  Curtis and Sarah Jane Lackey were the parents of eight children:

Sloan (born 1834, North Carolina).  Milas and Elva Lackey were the parents of five children:

(born March 6, 1874) and they had six children.  Maggie (Morrison) Lackey died on November 19, 1922.  On October 3, 1923, Charles Lackey married a second time to Bertha Cobb and they had one daughter.  Charles Lackey died on August 31, 1960.  On December 22, 1915, Lonnie Lackey married Ida Lee Morris and they had four children.  Lum Lackey died as a child on March 25, 1893.  On May 7, 1914, Grover Lackey married Hariet Houghton and they had seven children.

ANDREW H. LACKEY (71.3.4.4.1) is the son of Moses Monroe Lackey and Lucinda (Harvey) Lackey.  Andrew was born in December, 1847 in North Carolina.  In 1878, Andrew Lackey married Mary F. Autridge (born April, 1843, North Carolina).  Andrew and Mary Lackey were the parents of five children:

     Millen Lackey
     Dorace M. Lackey, b. August, 1880, North Carolina
     Joseph Harvey Lackey, b. October, 1881, North Carolina
     Nancy A. Lackey, b. November, 1882, North Carolina
     Dorcas Alice Lackey, b. December, 1884, North Carolina

From 1900 to 1910, Andrew and Mary Lackey were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  In 1910, Harvey Lackey and his wife, Etta Lackey (born 1880, North Carolina), were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.

JOSEPH F. LACKEY (71.3.4.4.7) is the son of Moses Monroe Lackey and Lucinda (Harvey) Lackey.  Joseph was born in August, 1860 in Alexander County, North Carolina.  In 1892, Joseph Lackey married Barby Elizabeth Gooden (born July, 1871, North Carolina).  Joseph and Elizabeth Lackey were the parents of four children:

     Minnie Lackey, b. February, 1893, North Carolina
     Fannie Lackey, b. July, 1896, North Carolina
     Julia B. Lackey, b. August, 1899, North Carolina
     Ernest M. Lackey, b. 1906, North Carolina

From 1900 to 1910, Joseph and Elizabeth Lackey were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.

ALEXANDER LACKEY (71.3.6) is the son of William Lackey and Agnes Nancy (Stevenson) Lackey.  Alexander was born on June 13, 1785 in North Carolina.  Alexander Lackey and his wife, Margaret Lackey (born January, 1784, North Carolina), were the parents of at least three children:

     Cynthia Lackey (71.3.6.1), b. October 17, 1808
     Alexander Lackey, Jr., b. 1825, North Carolina
     Robert Lackey, b. 1828, North Carolina

In 1840, Alexander Lackey was living in Iredell County, North Carolina.  In 1850, Alexander and Margaret Lackey were living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  Margaret Lackey died in January of 1853.  In 1860, Alexander Lackey was living in Alexander County, North Carolina.  Alexander Lackey died on March 20, 1869 in North Carolina.  Cynthia Lackey married James Thompson, Jr.  For additional information on the descendants of James and Cynthia Thompson, see the sketch of James Thompson, Jr. (71.3.3.2).
