WILLIAM ALEXANDER PACE (14.7.6) is the son of Edward Pace and Susannah (Foster) Pace.  William was born on May 6, 1823 in Scott County, Virignia.  On June 10, 1842, William Pace married Sarah Jane Hankins in French Lick, Indiana.  Sarah was born on August 9, 1826 in Knoxville, Tennessee and is the daughter of William Hankins and Mary Hankins.  William and Sarah Pace were the parents of seventeen children:

In 1850, William and Sarah Pace were living in Orange County, Indiana.  Around 1853, William Pace and his family moved to Georgetown, Texas and he operated a mill near Georgetown owned by George W. Glasscock, Sr.  In 1860, William and Sarah Pace were living in Bell County, Texas.  William Pace and his son, Joseph, served in the Confederate Army under Captain Robert B. Halley’s Company which subsequently became Company G, Baylor’s Regiment of the Texas Cavalry.  In 1870, William and Sarah Pace were living in Bell County, Texas.  In 1880, William Pace declared his candidacy for the political office of County Commissioner, Precinct One of Bell County, Texas.  In that same year, he was also elected to be a delegate to the primary convention of the County.  In 1888, William purchased the Davis mill in Salado, Texas.  William Alexander Pace died on February 3, 1889 in Salado, Texas and Sarah Jane (Hankins) Pace died on September 5, 1894 in Salado, Texas.  Both were buried in Salado, Texas.  The land on which the W. A. Pace Memorial Park is located was given to the Community of Salado by John W. Pace in honor of his father.  Descendants of William Alexander Pace gather at the Park each October for a family reunion.

Joseph L. Pace was killed during the Battle of Arkansas Post, Arkansas which took place on January 10th and 11th, 1863.  W. K. Pace died before 1850.  On June 27, 1867, Abraham Pace married Nancy E. Reeves.  Mary Pace died as an infant on June 28, 1851 and was buried in the Robinson-Pace Cemetery in Dubois County, Indiana.  On February 3, 1918, William A. Pace married Charity Caroline Fender.  William A. Pace died on May 30, 1927 and was buried in Runnels County, Texas.  Phebe Ann Pace married George Longmeyers.  Phebe (Pace) Longmeyers died in 1882.  Mary Evelyn “Mollie” Pace married William Stevens.  Mary (Pace) Stevens died on March 27, 1942 and was buried in Winters, Texas.

EDWARD D. PACE (14.7.6.1) is the son of William Alexander Pace and Sarah Jane (Hankins) Pace.  Edward was born on May 16, 1843 in French Lick, Indiana.  Edward D. Pace appears on a muster roll dated February 29, 1864 at Camp Sidney Johnson, Louisiana for Company K of the First Texas Cavalry.  On July 27, 1865, Edward Pace married Malissa Hodges (born 1846).  Edward and Malissa Pace were the parents of at least one son:

Edward Pace died on May 30, 1869 and was buried in Salado, Texas.  In 1870, Malissa (Hodges) Pace was living in Bell County, Texas.

MARION PACE (14.7.6.7) is the son of William Alexander Pace and Sarah Jane (Hankins) Pace.  Marion was born on July 11, 1852 in French Lick, Indiana.  On March 17, 1870, Marion Pace married Martha Hodges (born 1852).  Marion and Martha Pace were the parents of six children:

SARAH LOUISA PACE (14.7.6.11) is the daughter of William Alexander Pace and Sarah Jane (Hankins) Pace.  Sarah was born on March 19, 1860 in Salado, Texas.  Sarah Pace first married George A. Myers (born May 6, 1858) in Bell County, Texas.  George and his first wife, Caroline, had one son:  Charles L. Myers (born May 7, 1880 and died August 3, 1881).  George and Sarah Myers were the parents of one daughter:

  Mary Lee Myers (14.7.6.11.1), b. July 13, 1883

George Myers was killed in a thrasher accident on July 30, 1884 and was buried in the Salado Cemetery.  On September 18, 1888, Sarah married a second time to William Lafayette Ming in Salado, Texas.  William was born on July 11, 1855 in Florence, Texas and is the son of James Samuel Ming and Mary Adeline (Allen) Ming.  William and Sarah Ming were the parents of six children:

Sarah (Pace) Ming died on January 30, 1900 in Salado, Texas and was buried there.  In 1900, William Ming and several of his children were living in Bell County, Texas.  On April 24, 1907, William Ming married a second time to Mrs. Ada Emswiler.  William Ming died on May 16, 1931 in Salado, Texas and was buried there.  Around 1918, Fred Ming married Lena Scott and they had no children.  Fred Ming died on October 12, 1958 and was buried in Dallas, Texas.  Oudia Ming never married, died on November 11, 1981 and was buried in Beaumont, Texas.  On May 12, 1912, Ruth Ming married John Edward Warrick and they were the parents of four children:  -  Gordon Udell Warrick, b. STERLING PACE MING (14.7.6.11.3) is the son of William Lafayette Ming and Sarah Louisa (Pace) Ming.  Sterling was born on November 24, 1890 in Salado, Texas.  On January 9, 1924, Sterling Ming married Ora Lee Van Dyke.  Ora was born on September 27, 1903 near Sparta, Texas and is the daughter of Alvin Van Dyke and Rosa Lee (Evans) Van Dyke.  Sterling and Ora Ming were the parents of one son:

  William Lee Ming, b. July 12, 1925, Port Arthur, Texas

Sterling Ming died on August 9, 1972 and was buried in the Bellwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Temple, Texas.  On May 31, 1949, William L. Ming married Virginia Hortense Russell in Paris, Texas.  Virginia was born on November 11, 1922 in Paris, Texas and is the daughter of Robert Horace Russell and Virna Velma (Mallison) Russell.  William and Virginia Ming are the parents of two children:  -  Robert Sterling Ming, b. October 20, 1950, Waco, Texas,  -  Virginia Lee Ming, b. July 19, 1952, Aurora, Colorado.  On April 27, 1973, Robert Ming married Janet Lee Murff and they have two children:  -  Robert Leslie Ming, b. September 3, 1976,  -  Christopher William Ming, b. JULIAN BARTON PACE (14.7.6.16) is the son of William Alexander Pace and Sarah Jane (Hankins) Pace.  Julian was born on June 6, 1870 in Salado, Texas.  On October 16, 1895, Julian Pace married Mary Susan Boyle in Salado, Texas.  Mary was born on October 23, 1862 in Coffeeville, Mississippi and is the daughter of James Boyle and Mary Ann (Hyde) Boyle.  Julian and Mary Pace were the parents of four children:

Mary (Boyle) Pace died on February 17, 1934 in Winters, Texas and Julian Barton Pace died on May 8, 1936 in Winters, Texas.  Both were buried in the Pumphrey Cemetery located ten miles north of Winters, Texas.  Julius Clark Pace died on June 5, 1898 and was buried in Salado, Texas.  On January 14, 1917, Ava Pace married Roy Leslie Crawford.  Ava (Pace) Crawford died on July 29, 1983.  On December 21, 1929, Jarrette Pace married Beulah Baggett and they had one daughter:  -  Mary Sue Pace.  Jarrette Boyle Pace died on November 8, 1978.  Mary Sue Pace married Jack Placke and they have three children:  -  Jennifer Placke, b. December 22, 1963,  -  Martin Jarette Placke, b. December 30, 1964,  -  Abigail Placke, b. October 6, 1972.  From 1942 to 1945, George Pace served in the United States Army during World War II.  George attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and served in the Pacific islands of Eastern Mandates, Tarawas, Ryukyus and Okinawa.  On November 4, 1950, George Rankin Pace married Laura Henderson Kittrell.  As of 1970, George Rankin Pace was living in Winters, Texas.
