OLLIFF FAMILY HISTORY   9-97

JOSEPH OLLIFF (1.3.3) is the son of Benjamin Shears Olliff and Elizabeth (Turner) Olliff.  Joseph was born on September 24, 1822 in Georgia.  On December 11, 1853, Joseph Olliff married Eliza Graham in Lowndes County, Georgia.  Eliza was born on December 28, 1824 in Telfair County, Georgia and is the daughter of Alexander Graham and Mary (Smith) Graham.  Around 1854, Joseph and Eliza Olliff moved to Suwannee County, Florida and remained in that area.  Joseph and Eliza Olliff were the parents of four children:

   Henry Lafayette Olliff (1.3.3.2), b. October 26, 1855, Suwannee County, Florida

Joseph Olliff died of consumption on February 8, 1860 in Suwannee County, Florida and was buried there in the Pine Grove Methodist Cemetery.  From 1860 to 1870, Eliza (Graham) “Olive” was living in Suwannee County, Florida.  In 1900, Eliza (Graham) Olliff was living with her son, Henry Olliff, in Hillsborough County, Florida.  Eliza (Graham) Olliff died on April 26, 1905 in Largo, Florida.  Benjamin Olliff was a cripple and the nature of his affliction remains unknown.  Some say that Benjamin Olliff was lost in a shipwreck around 1880 but the facts surrounding his disappearance are unknown.  In 1880, Benjamin F. Olliff (born 1859 in Florida) was living in the household of Frank and Mary Happ in Jefferson County, Texas.

WARREN WOLFE OLLIFF (1.3.3.1) is the son of Joseph Olliff and Eliza (Graham) Olliff.  Warren was born on September 15, 1854 in Bulloch County, Georgia.  Apparently Warren dropped one of the “L’s” in Olliff and went by the last name of Oliff.  Warren Oliff married Rosie Ophelia Keith (born January 28, 1860).  Warren and Rosie Oliff were the parents of two children:

Warren Oliff was a section foreman on the railroad.  Rosie (Keith) Oliff died on March 29, 1898.  In 1910, Warren Oliff was living in Polk County, Florida.  In 1920, Warren Oliff and his son, Fleece, were living in Wakalla County, Flordia.  Warren Oliff died on August 4, 1944.  Warren and Rosie Oliff’s first child was a son who died in infancy.

FLEECE OLIFF (1.3.3.1.2) is the son of Warren Wolfe Oliff and Rosie Ophelia (Keith) Oliff.  Fleece was born on June 4, 1888 in Wildwood, Florida.  In 1920, Fleece Oliff was living with his father in Wakalla County, Florida.  Fleece Oliff married Flossie Pauline Arnold (born April 27, 1905 in Sopehoppy, Florida).  Fleece Oliff was a carpenter and lived in Panacea, Florida.  Fleece and Flossie Oliff were the parents of eight children:

May 23, 1952,  -  Dorothy Ann Oliff, b. November 1, 1953, Honolulu, Hawaii,  -  Joseph Wadell Oliff, Jr., b. October 12, 1955, Honolulu, Hawaii.  Joseph and Fannie Oliff were later divorced.  Elizabeth Pauline Oliff died as an infant on May 24, 1952 in Pensacola, Florida.  Dorothy Ann Oliff died in an automobile accident on September 21, 1968.  On April 27, 1984, Joseph Oliff, Jr. married Debra Phillips (born March 12, 1953) and they have three children:  -  Joseph Albert Oliff, b. March 22, 1987, Jacksonville, Florida,  -  David Alexander Oliff, b. January 1, 1989, Jacksonville, Florida,  -  Melissa Nicole Phillips (step-daughter), b. November 24, 1977, Jacksonville, Florida.

On November 14, 1950, Warren Oliff married Barbara Ann Whiddon (born April 26, 1933) and they have three children:  -  Glenda Pauline Oliff, b. September 9, 1951,  -  Max Nathaniel Oliff, b. December 14, 1954, Orlando, Florida,  -  Dennis Earl Oliff, b. September 14, 1956, England.  On August 7, 1971, Glenda Oliff married David Marshall Kelley and they had two children:  -  Bryan David Kelley, b. June 7, 1973, Woodville, Florida,  -  John Michael Kelley, b. February 6, 1977, Woodville, Florida.  David and Glenda Kelley were later divorced.  On April 17, 1975, Max Oliff married Barbara Jean Palmer and they had one son:  -  Aaron Lance Oliff, b. October 6, 1975, Woodville, Florida.  Max and Barbara were later divorced.  Max Oliff died on October 21, 1991.

In June of 1949, Mary Oliff married Frank Guggino Saladino (born June 28, 1925) in Tampa, Florida.  Frank and Mary Saladino had two children:  -  Steven Anthony Saladino, b. May 5, 1955,  -  Stacy Allyson Saladino, b. August 23, 1962.  In June of 1968, Mary and Frank Saladino were divorced.  On November 10, 1971, Mary married a second time to Stephen Phillip Kovach (born August 4, 1922) and they had no children.  Stephen Kovach died on June 20, 1989.  On April 21, 1979, Steven Saladino married Christina J. Loduca in Modesto, California.  Steven and Christina Saladino have three children:  -  Matthew Anthony Saladino, b. November 4, 1980,  -  Sarah Elizabeth Saladino, b. November 21, 1983,  -  Christina Louise Saladino, b. November 30, 1985.  On June 17, 1982, Stacy Saladino married Kenny Joseph Leikam and they have one child:  -  Lauren Ashley Leikam, b. May 19, 1983.

On August 9, 1963, Walter Oliff married Katherine Jean Johnson (born May 4, 1935).  On June 24, 1986, Walter Oliff married a second time to Almerinda “Minda” Do Carmo Corriea (born July 28, 1946, Albufeira, The Algarve, Portugal).  Walter and Minda Oliff have one daughter:  -  Carla Maria Correia Da Silva (step-daughter), b. June 14, 1970, Lisbon, Portugal.  On August 24, 1963, Linda Nell Oliff married Lucius Charles Lingo (born October 23, 1940) and they had one child:  -  Jamie Felice Lingo, b. April 29, 1965.  Lucius and Linda Lingo were divorced in 1967.  On November 26, 1969, Linda married a second time to George Carl Reeves.  George and Linda Reeves were divorced on August 23, 1983.  On April 8, 1984, Linda married a third time to Thomas Cecil Lewis.  Jamie Lingo married a Mr. McCord and has one daughter:  -  Hannah Victoria McCord, b. ANNA LEE OLIFF (1.3.3.1.2.1) is the daughter of Fleece Oliff and Flossie Pauline (Arnold) Oliff.  Anna was born on June 30, 1923 in Panacea, Florida.  On November 23, 1940, Anna Oliff married Alfred Tommy Weekley (born November 27, 1917) and they were the parents of two children:

   Theodore Wayne Weekley, b. July 20, 1941, Tallahassee, Florida
   Janie LaRue Weekley, b. April 2, 1943, Tallahassee, Florida

Alfred Weekley was killed in action in World War II on April 19, 1945.  On March 8, 1945, Anna married a second time to Chalmer Lee Watkins (born August 3, 1924) and they were the parents of two children:

   Benjamin Fleece Watkins, b. August 25, 1951, Jenkins, Kentucky

GRAHAM KEITH OLIFF (1.3.3.1.2.3) is the son of Fleece Oliff and Flossie Pauline (Arnold) Oliff.  Graham was born on March 23, 1925 in Panacea, Florida.  On October 22, 1949, Graham Oliff married Karen Jeanette Workman (born October 1, 1933).  Graham and Karen Oliff were the parents of one daughter:

Graham and Karen Oliff were divorced in 1969.  On July 5, 1969, Graham Oliff married a second time to Nancy Joyce (Anderson) Moss (born May 3, 1940) in Tallahassee, Florida.  Graham and Nancy Oliff are the parents of three children:

HENRY LAFAYETTE OLLIFF (1.3.3.2) is the son of Joseph Olliff and Eliza (Graham) Olliff.  Henry was born on October 26, 1855 in Suwannee County, Florida.  On August 26, 1884, Henry Olliff married Margaret Catherine Whitehurst in Hillsborough County, Florida.  Margaret was born on December 1, 1858 in Clearwater, Florida and is the daughter of Robert John Whitehurst and Levincy Jane (Campbell) Whitehurst.  Henry and Margaret Olliff were the parents of six children:

JANE ELIZA OLLIFF (1.3.3.2.2) is the daughter of Henry Lafayette Olliff and Margaret Catherine (Whitehurst) Olliff.  Jane was born on February 14, 1887 in Anona, Florida.  Jane Olliff married Fletcher King Barry (born October 20, 1885 in Macanopy, Florida).  Fletcher Barry was a farmer.  Fletcher and Jane Barry were the parents of eight children:

MARGARET CAROLINE OLLIFF (1.3.3.2.3) is the daughter of Henry Lafayette Olliff and Margaret Catherine (Whitehurst) Olliff.  Margaret was born on February 26, 1889 in Anona, Florida.  Margaret Olliff married John Gainey (born July 9, 1886 in Brazil, Indiana).  John Gainey was a carpenter.  John and Margaret Gainey were the parents of four children:

   Grace Matilda Gainey, b. October 31, 1909, Large, Florida
   Robert John Gainey, b. September 7, 1911, Florida

In 1920, Margaret (Olliff) Gainey was living with her parents in Pinellas County, Florida.  Margaret (Olliff) Gainey died on January 2, 1929 and John Gainey died on August 3, 1956.  Hazel Gainey died as a young child on May 7, 1909.  Grace Gainey married Adrain Thomas (born July 9, 1907 in Evansville, Indiana) and they had one daughter:  -  Betty Jo Thomas, b. On December 5, 1953, Robert Whittle, Jr. married Carolyn Ann Barlow (born January 2, 1937) and they have five children:  -  Robert Clayton Whittle, III, b. September 21, 1954,  -  Rodney Ervin Whittle, b. July 21, 1956,  -  Sherry Ann Whittle, b. June 2, 1958,  -  John Robin Whittle, b. October 6, 1959,  -  Lance Myron Whittle, b. January 23, 1961.  James Whittle married Janice H. Lawhon and they have six children:  -  Katherine Helen Whittle, b. February 27, 1952,  -  Cathleen Ruby Whittle, b. August 13, 1955,  -  Corene Ann Whittle, b. July 19, 1959,  -  James Raymond Whittle, Jr., b. July 22, 1960,  -  Joseph Reason Whittle, b. November 25, 1961,  -  Eugene Richard Whittle, b. June 12, 1963.  Robert John Gainey died as a teenager on July 28, 1928.  Mary Jane Gainey married a Mr. Hicks.
