ISHAM R. BROOKS (2.3.1.3) is the son of Jordan Cruse Brooks and Caroline (Linch) Brooks.  Isham was born on August 29, 1843 in Putnam County, Georgia.  Isham served in the Civil War and later drew a pension.  On October 13, 1867, Isham Brooks married Martha A. Hunter in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Isham and Martha Brooks were the parents of three children:

  Albert S. Brooks (2.3.1.3.1), b. 1868, Georgia
  Wilbur J. Brooks, b. 1870, Georgia
  William Walter Brooks (2.3.1.3.3), b. December 4, 1871, Georgia

Martha (Hunter) Brooks died prior to 1880.  On February 13, 1881, Isham married a second time to Jerry Gammel (born 1862) in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Isham and Jerry Brooks were the parents of two children:

  Helen Brooks, b. September, 1883, Muscogee County, Georgia
  Clarence E. Brooks, b. June, 1887, Muscogee County, Georgia

Jerry (Gammel) Brooks died on September 10, 1890.  On October 12, 1892, Isham married a third time to Mrs. Lula Mullins Ivey.  Isham and Lula Brooks were the parents of two children:

  Verna Brooks, b. December, 1893, Muscogee County, Georgia
  Bennett Brooks, b. December, 1897, Muscogee County, Georgia

From 1880 to 1900, Isham Brooks lived in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Isham R. Brooks died on May 11, 1908 in Muscogee County, Georgia and was buried there in an unmarked grave in the Midway Cemetery.  Sometime after 1900, Wilbur Brooks married Bessie Lockhart and they had at least four children:  -  one son (name unknown),  -  Ada Brooks,  -  Eula Brooks,  -  Edna Brooks.  Ada Brooks married a Mr. Killough and lives in Birmingham, Alabama.  Eula Brooks married a Mr. Stokes and Edna Brooks married a Mr. Wilder.  Helen Brooks died on July 21, 1885 in Columbus, Georgia and was buried there in the Linwood Cemetery.  Clarence E. Brooks died on October 24, 1907 in Columbus and was buried there in the Linwood Cemetery.

ALBERT S. BROOKS (2.3.1.3.1) is the son of Isham R. Brooks and Martha A. (Hunter) Brooks.  Albert was born in 1868 in Georgia.  In 1895, Albert Brooks married Eula Skinner in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Albert and Eula Brooks had at least three sons:

  Blanchard Brooks, b. April, 1896
  Albert Brooks, Jr., b. January, 1898
  Roy Brooks, b. April, 1899

WILLIAM WALTER BROOKS (2.3.1.3.3) is the son of Isham R. Brooks and Martha A. (Hunter) Brooks.  William was born on December 4, 1871 in Georgia.  Around 1890, William Brooks married Mary “Mamie” Davis.  Mamie was born in April of 1876 in Georgia and is the daughter of William Alexander Davis and Martha (Rivers) Davis.  William and Mamie Brooks were the parents of nine children:

In 1900, William and Mary Brooks were living in Muscogee County, Georgia.  William Walter Brooks died on April 17, 1941 in Miami, Florida and was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.  Walter Brooks lived in Miami, Florida and had one son:  -  J. W. Brooks, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia.  Walter Brooks died in Miami, Florida in 1981.  Helen Brooks married a Mr. Stoddard and lives in Atlanta, Georgia.  Charles Brooks died on March 9, 1969 in Lake City, Florida and was buried there.  Franklin Brooks died in Coral Gables, Florida.  Henry Brooks lives in Columbia, South Carolina.  Preston Brooks moved to Florida in 1927 and died in June of 1980 in Miami, Florida.  Louise Brooks married E. AMANDA VANDALIA BROOKS (2.3.1.4) is the daughter of Jordan Cruse Brooks and Caroline (Linch) Brooks.  Amanda was born on October 26, 1846 in Putnam County, Georgia.  On July 5, 1868, Amanda Brooks married Thomas Jefferson Skinner in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Thomas was born in 1832 in Muscogee County, Georgia and is the son of Benajah Skinner and Nancy Skinner.  Thomas was previously married to Louisiana Patrick and they had at least one daughter:  G. Skinner (born 1860, Georgia).  Thomas and Amanda Skinner were the parents of nine children:

In 1880, Thomas and Amanda Skinner were living in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Thomas Skinner died prior to 1900.  In 1900, Amanda (Brooks) Skinner was still living in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Amanda (Brooks) Skinner died on September 20, 1929 and was buried in the Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.  Sidney Skinner married Willie Cobb from Cusseta, Georgia.  Sidney Skinner died on June 16, 1943 and was buried in the Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.  Asa Skinner married Lalah Bell Long of Philadelphia, Mississippi.  Sarah Skinner married John W. Osteen from Cusseta, Georgia.  Annie Skinner married Howell Homer Revell and they had several children.  Annie later married James Walter Foster.  Isham Skinner married Lucile Cobb, sister of Willie Cobb and lives in Archer, Florida.  Orgia Skinner never married and lived in Atlanta, Georgia.  Orgia Skinner died on January 16, 1970 and was buried in the Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

ADDIE AMANDA SKINNER (2.3.1.4.1) is the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Skinner and Amanda Vandalia (Brooks) Skinner.  Addie was born in April of 1873 in Georgia.  Addie Skinner married Henry Iverson Boland.  Henry was born on January 12, 1870 and is the son of John Wesley Boland and Esther Jane (Fussell) Boland.  Henry’s brother, Jeremiah Boland married Addie Skinner’s aunt, Adelaide Brooks (2.3.1.8).  Henry and Addie Boland were the parents of eight children:

Myrtle Foley married a Mr. Oliver and lives near Atlanta.  Evelyn Foley married a Mr. Beck and Lois Foley married a Mr. Messick.  Both Julia Foley and Dorothy Foley married.  Willene Foley married a Mr. Hauckey.  After Lillie (Boland) Foley died, Plez Foley, Sr. kept William Foley and their other children lived with Henry and Addie Boland.

EMORY SHELTON SKINNER (2.3.1.4.6) is the son of Thomas Jefferson Skinner and Amanda Vandalia (Brooks) Skinner.  Emory was born in 1881 in Georgia.  In 1902, Emory Skinner married Annie Eckman (born 1883, North Carolina).  Emory and Annie Skinner were the parents of four children:

Guy Thorton died in 1975.  As of 1981, Ethel (Player) Thornton was living in Columbus, Georgia.  Amy Thornton married Thomas Arthur Smith of Saranack, Michigan and they had two sons:  -  Thomas Arthur Smith, Jr., b. November 12, 1959,  -  William Parker Smith, b. March 4, 1960’s.  Tommy Smith, Jr. is in the Army stationed in Japan and William Parker is in the Air Force stationed in Germany.  Amy and Thomas Smith were divorced and Amy later married Craig W. Starkweather of Lowell, Michigan.  Craig and Amy Starkweather had two daughters:  -  Roxanne Marlot Starkweather, b. May 31, 1965,  -  Susanne Renee Starkweather, b. September 4, 1967.  Amy and Craig Starkweather are now divorced.  On July 24, 1970, George Carlton Thornton married Elizabeth Yates Chalmers.  Elizabeth is the daughter of Dr. Rives Chalmers of Atlanta, Georgia.  George and Elizabeth Thornton live in San Juan, Costa Rica and have two children:  -  Darcey Carabelle Thornton, b. ALEXANDER SIDNEY BROOKS (2.3.1.5) is the son of Jordan Cruse Brooks and Caroline (Linch) Brooks.  Alexander was born on May 14, 1847 in Georgia.  On October 17, 1875, Alexander Brooks first married Sarah E. Hunter (born February 5, 1851) in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Alexander and Sarah Brooks were the parents of three children:

  Robert Edgar Brooks, b. August 11, 1876, Georgia
  Anna Allie Brooks (2.3.1.5.2), b. August 16, 1877, Georgia
  Preston S. Brooks, b. 1879, Georgia

Robert E. Brooks died on July 25, 1894.  Preston Brooks moved to California and has a daughter, Mable Brooks, who also lives in California.  Sarah (Hunter) Brooks died on March 21, 1892.  In September of 1892, Alexander Brooks married a second time to his cousin, Lucy Walker Linch, in Putnam County, Georgia.  Lucy was born on August 17, 1870 and is the daughter of Lewis Henry Linch and Eugenia Ann (Howard) Linch.  Alexander and Lucy Brooks had one daughter:

  Amanda Eva Brooks, b. June 23, 1894, Georgia

Lucy (Linch) Brooks died on August 19, 1894 and was buried in the Central Church Cemetery near Eatonton, Georgia.  Amanda Brooks died on June 3, 1902 in Columbus, Georgia.  On October 18, 1897, Alexander Sidney Brooks married a third time to Mrs. Sarah Albertine (Brasch) Lindsey.  Tina was born on June 16, 1860 in Savannah, Georgia and is the daughter of Charles E. Brasch and Rebecca T. (Smith) Brasch.  Alexander and Tina Brooks had three children:

(Hunter) Brooks.  Allie was born on August 16, 1877 in Georgia.  On June 16, 1898, Allie Brooks married Simeon Columbus Massey (born June 21, 1870) in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Simeon and Allie Massey were the parents of at least seven children:

Lillie Massey died on March 11, 1905.  Ruby Massey married Newt Neal of Baltimore, Maryland.  Willie Massey married John Coleman and lived in High Point, North Carolina.  Simeon Massey, Jr. and his first wife, Lillie Merle, had one son:  -  Raymond Massey.  Simeon Massey, Jr. and his second wife, Ila, had one son:  -  Simeon Columbus Massey, III.  In 1973, Simeon Massey, Jr. was living in Astor, Florida.  Preston Massey married Margaret Ellison and they had two sons:  -  Preston Brooks Massey, Jr.,  -  Reese Massey.  Preston Massey, Sr. was a Muscogee County Commissioner from 1960 to 1968 and died on August 1, 1973.  J. Edgar Massey married Geraldine Fountain and they have one son:  -  John Edgar Massey, Jr.  In 1973, Edgar Massey was living in Columbus, Georgia.  Olga Massey married J. W. Moon.  In 1982, Olga was living in Ellerslie, Georgia.  Simeon Massey, Sr. died on April 3, 1939 and Allie (Brooks) Massey died on November 15, 1957.

MABLE BROOKS (2.3.1.5.7) is the daughter of Alexander Sidney Brooks and Sarah Albertine (Brasch) Brooks.  Mable was born on September 28, 1902.  On February 7, 1922, Mable Brooks married Griff Richard Smith in Muscogee County, Georgia and they had two daughters:

  Flossie Smith, b. November 17, 1922
  Albertine Smith, b. November 26, 1924

Griff Smith was a policeman in Columbus, Georgia and died while on duty.  Griff Smith was buried in the Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia.  In July of 1935, Mable married a second time to Jesse Huston Parker and they were the parents of one daughter:

  Nina Jo Parker, b. February 13, 1940

Huston Parker died in January of 1977 in Williston, Florida and was buried there.  Mable (Brooks) Parker died on June 3, 1976 in Hollywood, Florida and was buried in the Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia.  Flossie Smith married Walter L. Haines and they had three children:  -  Beverly Haines, b. October 14, 1946,  -  Barbara Haines, b. August 17, 1949,  -  Walter Richard Haines, b. February 28, 1968.  On February 14, 1982, Donna Strauss married Paul Zapf.  In 1976, James and Nina Jo Strauss were living in Hollywood, Florida.  As of 1982, they were living in West Palm Beach, Florida.

MARTHA E. BROOKS (2.3.1.6) is the daughter of Jordan Cruse Brooks and Caroline (Linch) Brooks.  Martha was born in July of 1851 in Georgia.  On March 6, 1879, Martha Brooks married Charles P. Wilson (born 1850, South Carolina) in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Charles and Martha Wilson were the parents of two children:

In 1880, Charles and Martha Wilson were living in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Charles Wilson died prior to 1900.  In 1900, Martha (Brooks) Wilson was living in Muscogee County, Georgia.  In 1908, Martha (Brooks) Wilson was living in Mississippi.  Homer Wilson ran a grocery store in Phenix City, Alabama and had two children:  -  Bill Wilson,  -  Cora Wilson.

ARAMINTA FRANCES BROOKS (2.3.1.7) is the daughter of Jordan Cruse Brooks and Caroline (Linch) Brooks.  Araminta was born in May of 1854 in Georgia.  On January 19, 1875, Araminta Brooks married George “Doc” Cowart (born April, 1851 in Georgia) in Muscogee County, Georgia and they were the parents of four sons:

  Robert Edgar Cowart, b. 1878, Georgia
  Ben Cowart, b. June, 1881, Muscogee County, Georgia
  Buddie Cowart

In 1880, George and “Fannie A.” Cowart were living in Muscogee County, Georgia.  On July 4, 1895, George Cowart married a second time to Martha Waller in Muscogee County, Georgia.  In 1900, George and Mattie Cowart were living in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Ben Cowart married Mamie Eckman and they had two children:  -  Bennella Cowart who married a Mr. Skelton,  -  Robert Cowart.

ADELAIDE MACON BROOKS (2.3.1.8) is the daughter of Jordan Cruse Brooks and Caroline (Linch) Brooks.  Addie was born in May of 1860 in Georgia.  On August 28, 1884, Addie Brooks married Jeremiah Christopher Boland in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Jeremiah was born on January 6, 1864 and is the son of John Wesley Boland and Esther Jane (Fussell) Boland.  Jerre and Addie Boland had four children:

  Esther Lurline Boland (2.3.1.8.1), b. January 24, 1888
  Twin Sons, b. 1889
  Clara Boland (2.3.1.8.4), b. December 30, 1891

Jerre and Addie’s twin sons died in 1889.  In 1900, J. C. and Addie Boland were living in Chattahoochee County, Georgia.  Addie (Brooks) Boland died in Brantley, Alabama on September 30, 1904 and was buried in the Midway Cemetery in Muscogee County, Georgia.  Jerre Boland married a second time to Sarah Elizabeth Safronia Kelly in 1905 and had eight more children.  Sarah (Kelly) Boland died on February 24, 1920.  On September 7, 1920, Jerre Boland married a third time to Mary Cornelia Radney, a widow, and they had no children.  Jerre Boland died on May 20, 1938 and was buried in the Liberty Methodist Church Cemetery near Elba, Alabama.  Mary (Radney) Boland died on January 22, 1944.

ESTHER LULINE BOLAND (2.3.1.8.1) is the daughter of Jeremiah Christopher Boland and Adelaide Macon (Brooks) Boland.  Esther was born on January 24, 1888.  On June 21, 1905, Esther Boland married Dr. John Henry Twiggs (born October 21, 1870) and they have four children:

  Lenora Evelyn Twiggs, b. July 8, 1907, Tampa, Florida
  John Albert Twiggs, b. August 21, 1909, Tampa, Florida
  Leary Aldine Twiggs, b. January 1, 1911, Tampa, Florida
  Forrest Boland Twiggs, b. November 9, 1913, Tampa, Florida

Lenora Twiggs died on October 9, 1973.  Albert Twiggs never married.  During World War II, he served on a submarine.  Leary Aldine “Larry” Twiggs married Pilar Fernandez in Tampa, Florida and they have two children:  -  Patty Twiggs,  -  Deanny Twiggs.  Patty Twiggs married and has twin daughters.  Larry Twiggs operated a large grocery store in Tampa, Florida and he died on October 19, 1961.  Forrest Twiggs died on April 16, 1915.  John Henry Twiggs died on February 16, 1935.  Esther (Boland) Twiggs married a second time to <$IBennett;Van B.>Van B. Bennett and they were later divorced.  Esther (Boland) Bennett lived in Tampa, Florida and she died on September 20, 1960.

CLARA BOLAND (2.3.1.8.4) is the daughter of Jeremiah Christpher Boland and Adelaide Macon (Brooks) Boland.  Clara was born on December 30, 1891 in Columbus, Georgia.  On December 25, 1912, Clara Boland married Henry Barnabas Morgan (born November 15, 1874) and they had three children:

  Morland Jeremiah Morgan, b. October 18, 1913, Dozier, Alabama
  John Tyler Morgan, b. February 8, 1915, River Falls, Alabama
  Mildred Lane Morgan (2.3.1.8.4.3), b. September 23, 1916

Henry and Clara Morgan were both school teachers.  They later opened a Seed and Feed Store in Opp, Alabama, where they lived the rest of their lives.  Henry Morgan died in 1944.  Clara (Boland) Morgan died on January 7, 1963.  On May 27, 1941, Morland Morgan married Marie Pierce of Opp, Alabama and they had no children.  Marie was born on May 18, 1916.  Morland worked for the Opp Micolas Cotton Mills until he retired in 1979.

On February 1, 1941, Tyler Morgan married Mary Elizabeth Green of Opp, Alabama.  Elizabeth was born on November 7, 1917.  Tyler served in World War II as a radar technician and currently works for the Vitro Corporation in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.  Tyler and Elizabeth Morgan have two children:  -  John Tyler Morgan, Jr., b. November 16, 1941, Opp, Alabama,  -  Joan Elizabeth Morgan, b. April 21, 1945, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  On February 27, 1965, John Morgan, Jr. married Diane Janet Scott and they have two children:  -  Bonnie Beth Morgan, b. July 27, 1966,  -  John Tyler Morgan, III, b. September 7, 1967.  John and Diane Morgan lived in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and they were later divorced.  John Morgan, Jr. married a second time to Constantina Dudak (born June 11, 1945).  John and Connie Morgan have one son:  -  Matthew Morgan.  John Morgan, Jr. is a graduate of Auburn University in Alabama and runs his own company, Morgan Consulting Company.  John is a designer of electronic devices by contract, primarily with the United States Government.  Joan Morgan lives in Fort Walton Beach, Florida with her parents.  Joan has two books of poetry that have been published.

MILDRED LANE MORGAN (2.3.1.8.4.3) is the daughter of Henry Barnabas Morgan and Clara (Boland) Morgan.  Mildred Morgan was born on September 23, 1916 in Dozier, Alabama.  On February 7, 1941, Mildred Morgan married Robert Lee Killion in Opp, Alabama.  Robert was born on May 6, 1917 and was from Avoca, Iowa.  Robert was employed with the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company in Opp, Alabama.  Robert and Mildred Killion currently live in Montgomery, Alabama.  Robert and Mildred Killion had three daughters:

  Myrtle Clara Killion, b. July 8, 1942, Opp, Alabama
  Roberta Jean Killion, b. June 24, 1945, Opp, Alabama
  Phyllis Ann Killion, b. July 22, 1953, Montgomery, Alabama

On July 2, 1960, Clara Killion married Billy N. Hudson in Opp, Alabama.  Billy was born on January 4, 1937 in Opp, Alabama.  Billy and Clara Hudson had four children (all born in Montgomery, Alabama):  -  Alan Keith Hudson, b. On June 5, 1966, Roberta Killion married Gene Autry Townson in Montgomery, Alabama.  Gene was born on March 26, 1941 in Augusta, Georgia.  Gene spent eight years in the United States Air Force.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Huntington College.  Roberta received a Registered Nurse degree from St. Margaret’s Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama and later received her license as a Nurse Practioner from the University Hospital in Birmingham.  Gene and Roberta are now Resident Counselors for neglected and abused children.  Gene and Roberta Townson have two sons:  -  Jon David Townson, b. February 16, 1969, North Hollywood, California,  -  Jeffrey Rhonel Townson, b. July 28, 1971, Montgomery, Alabama.  On May 24, 1975, Phyllis Killion married Michael Seth Ward (born April 20, 1955) in Montgomery, Alabama.
