SAMUEL A. PATRICK (31.3.1.2.3) is the son of John Calvin Patrick and Sarah (Arrington) Patrick.  Samuel was born on July 8, 1864 in Franklin County, Arkansas.  Samuel Patrick was the father of two children (wife unknown):

  Crowell Patrick, b. May, 1887, Arkansas
  Ola F. Patrick, b. January, 1889, Arkansas

On July 16, 1890, Samuel Patrick married Martha Maynard (born September 3, 1869).  Samuel and Mattie Patrick were the parents of one son:

  Johnny L. Patrick, b. October 25, 1891, Arkansas

Mattie (Maynard) Patrick died in 1891 in Ozark, Arkansas.  Samuel married a second time to Addie Howell (born June, 1861 in Missouri).  Addie was previously married and had at least two daughters, Ida and Ada (twins).  Ida married Samuel’s brother, George Patrick.  Samuel and Addie Patrick were the parents of four children:

May 15, 1927.  Champ Patrick died in 1955 and was buried in Dodge City, Kansas.  Clara (Turner) Patrick died on March 16, 1985 in Van Buren, Arkansas and was buried in Ozark, Arkansas.  In 1939, Norma Patrick married Dick Morgan.  Norma (Patrick) Morgan died in 1981 and was buried in Fort Scott, Kansas.  On July 12, 1947, Oscar Patrick married Marjorie Castle.  Oscar married a second time to Sue Ellen Bernard.  Oscar married a third time to Jean Denning.

On September 8, 1922, Samuel Patrick, Jr. married Edith Keaton in Franklin County, Arkansas.  Ediths sister, Ruby Keaton, married Samuels brother, Jeff Patrick.  Samuel Patrick, Jr. died on August 26, 1966.  Jeff Patrick married Ruby Keaton and they had one son:  -  Gerald Champ Patrick, b. October 22, 1940, Pontiac, Michigan.  Jeff Patrick died on October 27, 1907.  On November 11, 1961, Gerald Patrick married Donetta June Hess in Denver, Colorado.  Donetta was born on June 10, 1941 in Satans, Kansas and is the daughter of Donald Hess and Minnie (Nelson) Hess.  Gerald and Donnetta Patrick have three children:  -  Gail Ann Patrick, b. JOEL ARRINGTON COMBS (31.3.2) is the son of Levi Combs and Sarah (Arrington) Combs.  Joel was born on April 30, 1818 in North Carolina.  Joel Combs married Pernetta Bloyed.  Pernetta was born on June 29, 1825 in Arkansas and is the daughter of Eli Bloyed and Mary Polly (Grayham) Bloyed.  Joel and Pernetta Combs had at least five children:

  Francis Combs, b. 1850, Arkansas
  Safronia Combs (twin), b. May 11, 1854, Arkansas
  Caldonia Combs (twin) (31.3.2.4), b. May 11, 1854, Arkansas

From 1850 to 1870, Joel and Pernetta Combs were living in Washington County, Arkansas.  Joel Combs died on March 28, 1874 in Washington County, Arkansas and was buried in the Black Oak Cemetery.  In 1900, Pernetta (Bloyed) Combs was living in Prairie, Arkansas.  Pernetta (Bloyed) Combs died in 1913 in Arkansas and was buried in the Black Oak Cemetery.  Francis Combs married Henry Martin.  Francis (Combs) Martin died in 1906.  Safronia Combs married Joseph A. Fallin.  In 1876, Miles Combs married Mary Susan Reed.  Miles Combs died in 1926 and was buried in the West Fort Cemetery.

MARY MATILDA COMBS (31.3.2.1) is the daughter of Joel Arrington Combs and Pernetta (Bloyed) Combs.  Mary was born in September, 1846 in Arkansas.  Around 1863, Mary Combs married John James Winn in Washington County, Arkansas.  John was born in November, 1847 in Washington County, Arkansas and is the son of James Winn and Nancy (Bloyed) Winn.  John Winn was a government whiskey distiller.  John and Mary Winn were the parents of at least two children:

  Nancy Caldonia Winn (31.3.2.1.1), b. 1868, Washington County, Arkansas
  Elizabeth Saffronia Winn, b. 1866

In 1900, John and Mary Winn were living in Washington County, Arkansas.  In 1910, John and Mary Winn were living in Noble County, Oklahoma.  Mary (Combs) Winn died on December 14, 1919 in Wellston, Oklahoma and John Winn died on October 13, 1924 in Wellston, Oklahoma.  Elizabeth Winn married J. T. Rutherford and they had two children:  -  Infant (born and died July 30, 1881),  -  Mamie Rutherford, b. 1893, Washington County, Arkansas.  Elizabeth (Winn) Rutherford died in 1893.

NANCY CALDONIA WINN (31.3.2.1.1) is the daughter of John James Winn and Mary Matilda (Combs) Winn.  Nancy was born in 1868 in Washington County, Arkansas.  Nancy Winn married John James Hughes.  John was born on May 15, 1856 in Washington County, Arkansas and is the son of Elbert Hughes and Susannah (Lawrence) Hughes.  John and Nancy Hughes were the parents of seven children:

  Allie Hughes, b. August, 1889
  Frank M. Hughes, b. December 1, 1890
  Ollie Pearl Hughes, b. ca. 1892
  Elizabeth Hughes, b. November, 1896
  Sherman L. Hughes, b. November, 1898
  Ada Hughes, b. August, 1899
  Paris Hughes, b. 1902, Wagoner County, Indian Terr.

John Hughes died on December 29, 1903 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma and was buried in Wagoner County, Oklahoma.  Allie Hughes died in 1975.  Frank Hughes married Caddie Grindstaff in Chandler, Oklahoma.  Ollie Hughes married John Talmadge McBurnette.  For additional information on the descendants of John and Ollie McBurnette, see the sketch of John Talmadge McBurnette (32.5.8.2).  Elizabeth Hughes died in 1974.  Sherman Hughes died in 1976.  Ada Hughes married C. CALDONIA COMBS (31.3.2.4) is the daughter of Joel Arrington Combs and Pernetta (Bloyed) Combs.  Caldonia was born on May 11, 1854 in Arkansas.  Caldonia Combs married Calvin Morgan Rutherford.  Calvin and Caldonia Rutherford were the parents of three children:

  Joel Rutherford, b. 1888
  Bayless Rutherford, b. 1890
  Cinda Rutherford

Caldonia (Combs) Rutherford died in 1936 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma.  Joel Rutherford was an attorney in Wagoner, Oklahoma.  Joel Rutherford died from an accidental gunshot in 1920 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma.  Bayless Rutherford owned a grocery store in Wagoner, Oklahoma.

ALFRED B. COMBS (31.3.4) is the son of Levi Combs and Sarah (Arrington) Combs.  Alfred was born in 1829.  In 1847, Alfred Combs married Manerva Jane Ramey (born 1831 in Kentucky) in Washington County, Arkansas.  Alfred and Jane Combs were the parents of at least six children:

  Sarah Combs, b. 1851, Arkansas
  Margarett Combs, b. 1855, Arkansas
  John Combs, b. 1856, Arkansas
  Henry Combs, b. 1858, Arkansas

In 1850, Alfred and Jane Combs were living in Washington County, Arkansas.  Alfred Combs died in 1859.  In 1860, Jane (Ramey) Combs was living with her children in the residence of her father-in-law, Levi Combs, in Washington County, Arkansas.
