AMERICA NANCY BRYAN (2.1.4) is the daughter of William Park Bryan and Olivia Eliose (Bateman) Bryan.  America was born on April 30, 1827 in Williamson County, Tennessee.  On May 22, 1845, America Bryan married Oscar Hugh McGavock in Williamson County, Tennessee.  Oscar was born on April 3, 1825 in Williamson County, Tennessee and is the son of James McGavock and Lucinda (Ewing) McGavock.  In 1850, Oscar and America McGavock were living in Fayette County, Tennessee.  Oscar and America McGavock were the parents of eight children:

Oscar McGavock, Sr. died on February 20, 1860 in Tennessee.  In 1860, America (Bryan) McGavock was living with her children in Haywood County, Tennessee.  In 1863, America (Bryan) McGavock married a second time to Malachi Evans in Tennessee.  Malachi was born on December 25, 1815 in Tennessee.  Malachi was previously married to Sarah Elizabeth Scarborough on February 26, 1834 and they had one daughter:  Harriet Annis Evans (born March 3, 1855 in Tennessee).  Malachi and America Evans were the parents of four children:

   Charles Evans, b. October 3, 1867, Jonesboro, Arkansas

In 1870, Malachi and American Evans were living in Craighead County, Arkansas.  Malachi Evans died on July 22, 1874 in Izard County, Arkansas and was buried in Strawfloor Cemetery in Craighead County, Arkansas.  Around 1884, America married a third time to William Lawrence.  America (Bryan) Lawrence died on August 26, 1893 and was buried in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Izard County, Arkansas.

William McGavock died unmarried.  On October 16, 1873, Hugh McGavock married Joanna Howard.  Joanna is the daughter of J. A. Howard.  Hugh and Joanna McGavock had four children:  -  Ester Maud McGavock, b. July 28, 1875,  -  Willie McGavock,  -  Lucile McGavock,  -  Oscar Coleman McGavock.  Willie McGavock married Eva Blank McGavock.  Lucile McGavock had two children:  -  Jimmy McGavock,  -  John McGavock.  George McGavock died unmarried.

LUCINDA ELIZABETH McGAVOCK (2.1.4.1) is the daughter of Oscar Hugh McGavock and America Nancy (Bryan) McGavock.  Lucinda was born on April 22, 1846 in Tennessee.  On April 20, 1862, Lucinda McGavock married Robert L. Hamil in Haywood County, Tennessee.  Robert was born on October 30, 1839 in Tennessee and is the son of William Hamil and Minerva (Conyers) Hamil.  In 1870, Robert and Lucinda Hamil were living in Haywood County, Tenneessee.  Robert and Lucinda Hamil were the parents of ten children:

In 1880, Robert and Lucinda Hamil were living in Izard County, Arkansas.  Lucinda (McGavock) Hamil died on March 2, 1893 in Arkansas and Robert Hamil died in 1897.  Olivia Hamil died on January 17, 1892.  In 1895, Betty Hamil married W. L. Howard (born November 18, 1873).  W. L. and Betty Howard had one child:  -  W. E. Howard, b. November 18, 1896.  W. L. Howard died on February 7, 1899 and Betty (Hamil) Howard died on April 5, 1968.  W. E. Howard died on July 28, 1957.  Newton Hamil died as a child on March 15, 1888.  Nannie Hamil died as a child on October 12, 1878.  Hugh A. Hamil died as a child on December 30, 1889.

JOSEPH CAROL McGAVOCK (2.1.4.4) is the son of Oscar Hugh McGavock and America Nancy (Bryan) McGavock.  Joseph was born on March 13, 1852 in Tennessee.  On January 29, 1874, Joseph McGavock married his half-cousin, Harriet Annis Evans, in Arkansas.  Harriet was born on March 3, 1855 in Tennessee and is the daughter of Malachi Evans and his second wife, America (Bryan) Evans (2.1.4).  Joseph and Harriet McGavock were the parents of seven children:

   Emily America McGavock (2.1.4.4.2), b. September 24, 1876
   Robert E. Lee McGavock, b. December 28, 1878
   Ivy May “Zora” McGavock, b. September 9, 1883

Joseph McGavock died on March 1, 1903 in Nettleton, Arkansas.  James W. McGavock died on October 16, 1875.  Ivy McGavock married Claud Mills and they had three children:  -  Elbert Carroll Mills,  -  Melba Mills,  -  Hanyel Mills.  Elbert Mills married Melbia Henley.

EMILY AMERICA McGAVOCK (2.1.4.4.2) is the daughter of Joseph Carol McGavock and Harriet Annis (Evans) McGavock.  Emily was born on September 24, 1876.  On January 17, 1895, Emily McGavock married Adran Covan Blalock (born December 16, 1869) and they were the parents of six children:

   Wyona Blalock, b. December 14, 1898
   Regnald Blalock, b. July 14, 1902
   Elois Blalock, b. October 9, 1904
   Doyl Blalock, b. April 16, 1909

Leotta Blalock married Frank Sellers.  Wyona Blalock married Loyd Guffen.  Regnald Blalock married Iaine Rainey.  Elois Blalock married Goldie McCullumn.  Doyl Blalock married Hester Rhiney.

OLIVE REBECCA McGAVOCK (2.1.4.4.5) is the daughter of Joseph Carol McGavock and Harriet Annis (Evans) McGavock.  Beckie was born on May 20, 1886 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  On September 6, 1904, Beckie McGavock married James Robert Carter (born January 23, 1879) in Craighead County, Arkansas and they were the parents of seven children:

May 2, 1946.  Marian Carter married George Herald.  Violet Carter married a Mr. Hodges and they have one daughter:  -  Patty Lou Hodges, b. February 6, 1939.

JAMES P. McGAVOCK (2.1.4.6) is the son of Oscar Hugh McGavock and America Nancy (Bryan) McGavock.  James was born on July 12, 1856 in Tennessee.  In 1882, James McGavock married Martha A. Page in Izard County, Arkansas.  Martha was born on December 22, 1867.  James and Martha McGavock were the parents of six children:

   John G. McGavock, b. March 26, 1883, Newberg, Arkansas
   Willie Hugh McGavock, b. December 29, 1884, Arkansas
   George McGavock, b. December 6, 1886, Arkansas
   Leroy A. McGavock, b. February, 1890, Arkansas

Martha (Page) McGavock died on November 5, 1895 and was buried in the Page Cemetery in Newburg, Arkansas.  James McGavock married a second time to a woman named Mary Tinnie (born April 22, 1875 in Arkansas) and they were the parents of four children:

In 1900, James and Mary McGavock were living in Izard County, Arkansas.  Mrs. Mary Tinnie McGavock died on May 11, 1906 and was buried in the Page Cemetery in Newburg, Arkansas.  James McGavock married a third time to Ada Cates and they were the parents of one daughter:

James McGavock died in 1929 in Granite, Oklahoma.  John G. McGavock died on May 23, 1903 in Newburg, Arkansas and was buried at the Page Cemetery near Newburg, Arkansas.  George McGavock died as child on February 1, 1891 and was buried in the Page Cemetery in Newburg, Arkanas.  Leroy McGavock died in Granite, Oklahoma.  Alvin McGavock died in 1926 in Granite, Oklahoma.  Ray A. McGavock died as a small child on September 15, 1895 and was buried in the Page Cemetery in Newburg, Arkansas.  Ruth McGavock married John Russell.  Hugh G. McGavock died in Granite, Oklahoma.

OSCAR HUGH McGAVOCK, Jr. (2.1.4.7) is the son of Oscar Hugh McGavock and America Nancy (Bryan) McGavock.  Oscar was born on December 25, 1859 in Haywood County, Tennessee.  In 1882, Oscar McGavock, Jr. married Laura Massie in Newberg, Arkansas.  Laura was born on June 2, 1864 in Arkansas.  Oscar and Laura McGavock were the parents of six children:

Small (born 1872).  Laura (McGavock) Small died on November 27, 1919.  Alvis McGavock married James H. Huau (born 1876).  James H. Huau died in 1948.  Harman McGavock married Homer Adams (born 1886).  Willie McGavock married F. B. Thompson (born 1891).  Oscar McGavock died on August 11, 1939.  Austin McGavock married Dinple Baker.  Austin McGavock died on January 31, 1963.
