RUFUS EASTON CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4) is the son of Joseph Campbell, Jr. and Rachel (Orton) Campbell.  Rufus was born on August 15, 1815 in New Madrid County, Missouri Territory.  On October 28, 1842, Rufus Campbell married Caroline Moshell King Drake Ayers in Rutersville, Texas.  Caroline was born in 1825 in New York and is the daughter of David Ayers and Ann Moshell (Smith) Ayers.  From 1850 to 1870, Rufus and Caroline Campbell were living in Austin County, Texas.  Rufus and Caroline Campbell were the parents of seventeen children:

Rufus Campbell died on October 27, 1878 in Austin County, Texas and was buried there in Austin County, Texas.  In 1880, Caroline (Ayers) Campbell was living in Austin County, Texas.  On September 11, 1867, Caroline Campbell married Benjamin Drake.  Benjamin was born on October 20, 1836 and is the son of Reuben Drake and Mary Drake.  Benjamin and Caroline Drake had two children:  -  Preble Drake, b. August 24, 1863,  -  Lucy Drake, b. August 9, 1870.  Benjamin Drake died on November 5, 1880.  Caroline married a second time to John Caddel and they had one son:  -  John Caddel (never married).  On December 23, 1891, Lucy Drake married Charles F. Smith.  Charles was born on February 12, 1861 in Thomaston, Maine and is the son of Tileston H. Smith and Emma (Brown) Smith.  Charles and Lucy Smith had one daughter:  -  Rose Marie Smith, b. May 8, 1911.  On July 14, 1931, Rose Smith married Calvin C. Flint.  In 1938, Calvin was Dean of Men and Professor of Social Sciences at Santa Ana Junior College in Santa Ana, California.

On December 7, 1887, Huldah Campbell married Ira Ellis Collins (born March 28, 1856 in Louisiana) in Burton, Texas.  Ira and Huldah Collins had three children:  -  Ellis Payne Collins, b. October 4, 1888, Galveston, Texas,  -  Eva Payne Collins, b. April 16, 1898,  -  Anna Howard Collins, b. April 6, 1905, Galveston, Texas.  Ira Collins died on October 28, 1915 in Galveston, Texas.  In 1920, Huldah (Campbell) Collins moved to New York City, New York and lived with her two children until October of 1924 when they moved to Utica, New York.  Ellis Collins graduated from the University of Texas Law School in 1908 and received a Masters of Art in 1911 and a LLB degree in 1912 from the University of Texas.  Ellis was with the firm, Hart, Senior and Nichols and was considered an authority on tax matters.  Ellis Collins never married and died on July 23, 1938 in Utica, New York.  Anna Collins lives with her mother in Utica, New York.  Eva Collins drowned in her mother’s arms during a Galveston storm on September 8, 1900.

SARAH JANE CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4.2) is the daughter of Rufus Easton Campbell and Caroline Moshell King Drake (Ayers) Campbell.  Sarah was born on October 2, 1845 in Texas.  On November 3, 1869, Sarah J. Campbell married James Polk Carter (born 1847 in Arkansas) and they were the parents of six children:

   James Edward Carter, b. March 24, 1873, Texas
   Herbert C. Carter, b. July 28, 1877, Texas
   Carrie Corinne Carter, b. February 8, 1880, Texas
   Maud Leslie Carter, b. July 4, 1882

In 1880, James and Sarah Carter were living in Austin County, Texas.  Annie Carter died on June 2, 1899.  On January 6, 1904, James Carter married Ada Beatrice Hix and they had four children:  -  Leslie Lonice Carter, b. December 2, 1904,  -  Sarah Beatrice Carter, b. August 29, 1907,  -  James Edward Carter, Jr., October 19, 1910,  -  Henry Carter, b. August 27, 1914.  On May 11, 1928, Leslie Carter married Flynn LeFleur and they had one daughter:  -  Joy LeFleur, b. September 28, 1932.  Sarah B. Carter died young.  On July 14, 1929, James Carter, Jr. married Mildred Foster and they had two children:  -  Richard Carter, b. February 4, 1933,  -  Ann Carter, b. February 8, 1935.  On September 27, 1936, Henry Carter married Emma Vaney.

In November of 1906, Herbert Carter married Nellie McCormick and they had no children.  On September 24, 1900, Carrie Carter married L. S. Pitts and they had three children:  -  John Carter Pitts, b. September 22, 1901,  -  Corinne Pitts, b. February 22, 1903,  -  Mary Shelby Pitts, b. March 6, 1910.  John C. Pitts died as an infant on January 12, 1902.  In April of 1923, Corinne Pitts married Dewey Morgan and they had two children:  -  Elizabeth Morgan, b. February, 1924,  -  Emily Corinne Morgan, b. October, 1937.  Maude L. Carter never married.  On April 10, 1919, Mary M. Carter married Pelham C. Pitts and they had two children:  -  Jane Eugenia Pitts, b. January 13, 1930,  -  Leslie Pelham Pitts, b. July 12, 1922.

ANN ELIZA CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4.3) is the daughter of Rufus Easton Campbell and Caroline Moshell King Drake (Ayers) Campbell.  Ann was born on January 29, 1847 in Texas.  On April 13, 1868, Ann E. Campbell married J. D. Dixon.  J. D. is the son of William Zimmerman Dixon and Rebecca (Landrum) Dixon.  J. D. and Ann Dixon were the parents of three children:

Patrick (born May 31, 1867) and they had one son:  -  William R. Patrick, b. February 27, 1891.  William B. Patrick died on January 9, 1891.  On June 6, 1894, Caroline married a second time to Claude Clarkson and they had one son:  -  Ira Sebring Clarkson, b. November 30, 1897.  Claude Clarkson died on October 4, 1938.  On August 17, 1909, William R. Patrick married Irene Nesbit and they had one daughter:  -  Caroline Patrick, b. September 16, 1910.  On July 13, 1930, Caroline Patrick married Joseph Francis Harniver and they had two children:  -  Claudia Rebecca Harniver, b. April 16, 1896,  -  Jesse Burton Dixon, b. August 25, 1899,  -  Bryan DeKalb Dixon, b. May 20, 1902.  On March 9, 1914, Dorothy Dixon married M. J. Smith and they had one daughter:  -  Jessie Sinada Smith, b. June 25, 1915.  On February 21, 1920, Dorothy married a second time to H. H. Homeyer.  H. H. Homeyer died on November 9, 1927.  Jessie S. Smith was adopted by H. H. Homeyer.  On March 25, 1938, Jessie Smith married John Harold Smith.  On February 22, 1926, Jesse Dixon married Elizabeth Martin and they had three children:  -  Margot Ann Dixon, b. DAVID CHAMBERS CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4.4) is the son of Rufus Easton Campbell and Caroline Moshell King Drake (Ayers) Campbell.  David was born on August 2, 1848 in Texas.  On December 21, 1871, David C. Campbell married Mary “Mollie” Jackson.  Mary was born on September 21, 1847 in Texas and is the daughter of Wesley W. Jackson and Carrie M. (Aikens) Jackson.  David and Mary Campbell were the parents of six children:

September 5, 1900,  -  Herbert L. Colburn, b. December 20, 1909.  N. E. and Roberta Colburn lived in Cameron, Texas.  On May 20, 1930, Clarence Colburn married Verna Elba Wallace (born January 25, 1907) and they have two children:  -  Elba Jean Colburn, b. January 17, 1932,  -  Wallace Newton Colburn, b. November 25, 1953.  On October 12, 1935, Herbert Colburn married Catherine Henderson (born December 24, 1911) and they had no children.

On May 12, 1918, Seth Campbell married Neva Burt and they had one daughter:  -  Helen Campbell, b. HUGH CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4.4.4) is the son of David Chambers Campbell and Mary (Jackson) Campbell.  Hugh was born on March 30, 1878 in Texas.  On April 16, 1903, Hugh Campbell married Minnie Lee Perkins (born September 15, 1876, Bibb County, Georgia) in Yarrellton, Texas.  Hugh and Minnie Campbell were the parents of two children:

In 1910, Hugh and Minnie Campbell were living in Winkler County, Texas.  Randall Campbell has two children.  On February 5, 1935, Hugh R. C. Bobbitt and Millie Ann (Fry) Bobbitt.  William and Willie Bobbitt had no children.  William A. Bobbitt died on December 26, 1937 and Willie Mae (Campbell) Bobbitt died of burns on January 30, 1939 when her clothing accidently caught fire.

July 13, 1935.  Mary E. Campbell married James Wilson McCrary, Jr.  Odie C. Campbell married Clark Newlin Jones.  Julia E. Campbell married Robert L. Sanders.

THEODORE HIEL CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4.6) is the son of Rufus Easton Campbell and Caroline Moshell King Drake (Ayers) Campbell.  Theodore was born on October 15, 1851 in Austin County, Texas.  On October 18, 1877, Theodore Campbell married Mamie Louise Parker.  Mamie was born in 1858 in Texas and is the daughter of Rufus Parker and Lula H. (Hartin) Parker.  Theodore and Mamie Campbell were the parents of two children:

In 1880, Theodore and “Mary” Campbell were living in Milam County, Texas.  Dasie Campbell married William Miron Vincent, son of George Andrew Vincent and Margaret Abinene (Evans) Vincent.  William and Dasie Vincent had six children:  -  Vernon J. MARY SMITH CAMPBELL (1.5.2.4.7) is the daughter of Rufus Easton Campbell and Caroline Moshell King Drake (Ayers) Campbell.  Mollie was born on March 1, 1853 in Austin County, Texas.  On August 18, 1879, Mollie Campbell married James T. Shelby (born 1840 in North Carolina).  James and Mollie Shelby were the parents of three children:

On January 29, 1911, Jim Campbell married Belle Walston in Saratoga, Texas.  Belle was born on April 5, 1891 and is the daughter of Calvin Alexandria Walston and Mary Jane (Payne) Walston.  Jim and Belle Campbell had no children.  On March 28, 1912, Sarah Campbell married Henry Cassriel (born April 13, 1879 in Jarotschin, Poseu, Germany) and they had two children:  -  Howard Cassriel, b. September 25, 1914, Coalinga, California,  -  Lucille Cassriel, b.
